Responsibilities: Management and Supervision: • Lead, train, and supervise a team of irrigation technicians. • Schedule and assign daily tasks to the team, ensuring efficient workflow. • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Installation and Maintenance: • Oversee the installation of new irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance. • Coordinate repairs and replacements of faulty components as needed. Customer Service: • Communicate with clients to understand their irrigation needs and provide solutions. • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner. • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and support. Budgeting and Financial Management: • Develop and manage the irrigation department’s budget. • Track expenses and ensure projects are completed within budget constraints. • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Scheduling and Coordination: • Plan and schedule irrigation projects, ensuring timely completion. • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., landscaping, construction) to ensure integrated operations. • Maintain records of all irrigation activities, including installations, maintenance, and repairs. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, landscape management, or related field (preferred). • Proven leadership and team management skills. • Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, including design, installation, and maintenance. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform irrigation tasks. Working Conditions: • Work primarily outdoors on various job sites. • Some travel may be required to different project locations. • Flexible working hours, including some weekends and holidays, depending on project needs.
