Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Decking Installation Supervisor with a strong background in naval ship or ferry decking installation. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of decking materials, installation techniques, and team supervision. This role involves overseeing the installation process, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and leading a team of skilled installers.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the decking installation team.
• Plan and schedule decking installation projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
• Oversee the preparation and installation of various decking materials on naval ships and ferries.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during installation.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, material usage, and team performance.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure the maintenance and proper use of tools, equipment, and machinery.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in decking installation on naval ships or ferries.
• Strong knowledge of decking materials, installation techniques, and industry standards.
• Previous supervisory experience in a similar role.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in marine decking installation or a related field.
• Familiarity with naval shipbuilding and repair processes.
• Experience with various decking materials, including wood, composite, and metal.
