Photography Product Assistant

At Helzberg the Photography Product Assistant facilitates processes and execute duties that support the Photographer in the organization, planning, and setup required for the photography of various jewelry product(s). The role helps manage the detailed aspects of jewelry photography, serves as a liaison with internal departments such as Merchandising and Distribution, and assists in any and all areas that facilitate the photography process.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Work with Distribution, Merchandising, and product vendors to procure and organize jewelry for upcoming photo shoots.
• Sends daily and weekly schedules.
• Communicates any schedule changes.
• Orders equipment and supplies.
• Facilitates the workflow between, photographer, retouch and file upload.
• Assist in setting up props, cameras, lights, and other equipment.
• Offer creative and technical input to the photographer as needed.
• Clean and maintain all photo equipment.
• Responsible for securing all jewelry product when it is in the photography process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma / certification in photography or similar qualification.
• Two to four years of previous experience working as a photographer assistant is preferred.
• Naturally creative with a good eye for color and style.
• Familiarity with professional cameras and lighting equipment.
• Some knowledge or understanding of current photography techniques.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Regular, predictable onsite attendance is required to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
