Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for an Administrative Coordinator position in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports attending psychiatrist(s) with caseload management duties including retrieving patients in-person and via telehealth, maintaining schedule, ensuring patients are seen timely, attending psychiatric appointments to ensure psychiatric provider documentation is entered completely and appropriately
• Assist PHP and other applicable outpatient Liaison with answering phone calls, checking voicemails, and directing visitors and professionals, as needed
• Assist PHP and other applicable outpatient services Liaison with orienting guests to PHP
• Assemble chart packets and prepare charts
• Communicate with PHP and other applicable outpatient RN as needed regarding any medical treatment needs, prescription needs, medication side-effects, substance use, etc.
• Communicate with assigned clinician regarding any suicidality/safety issues
• Assist PHP and other applicable outpatient staff with step-up process when needed
• Order and Stock supplies and cleans kitchen
• Coordinates and communicates Lunch and Learn opportunities with hospital staff
• Supervise adolescents during break times
• Assists with discharge planning & other administrative duties as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s in healthcare or social work field preferred.
• Previous experience working in a psychiatric hospital or clinic.
• Previous experience working with adults and adolescents.
• Well rounded customer service skills (active listening, empathy, problem-solving etc.).
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Comprehensive understanding of general clerical skills, including Microsoft product suite.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills/techniques.
• CPR/HWC certification preferred
