Summary

The preschool teacher aide will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to each area of a student's growth and development. The teacher aide should demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus, godly character and a servant heart.

Duties

• Assist instructor in toddler and/or PreK children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
• Help provide age-appropriate, personal introduction to concepts of the love of God, His creation and the value He places on them.
• Help to maintain schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
• Ensure that the classroom work environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome, and loving.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and team members.
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress as needed.
• Maintain the health and safety of all students.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma.
• Must be able to pass a level II background screening.
• Must complete the required 45-hour DCF training.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aide certification.
• CDA or FCCPC (preferred).
• Previous experience in childcare or teaching preferred.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Positive and patient demeanor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Dependable transportation.
