Job Title – Production Artist Company Location – Torrance, CA On-site, Full Time Freelance Rate –DOE Job Summary of the Production Artist position Integr8staff seeks a Production Artist who has a fundamental understanding of all
media types and has a proven record in taking a general design direction and building out
various sizes and mechanicals for digital and print media specs. Must be organized, a star
performer, with great positive attitude, a fast learner, detail oriented, proactive, and willing
to take direction.
Responsibilities of the Production Artist position Designing and creating of all media types, including but not limited to, digital, banner ads, social media, email, print, collateral, out-of-home, etc.
Take the designs created by graphic designers and prepare them for final production, ensuring they meet technical specifications.
Taking a general design direction and implementing original layouts using typography, retouching, stock photography, compositing, layout, vector art, illustrations, etc.
Taking approved design concepts and building out various sizes and mechanicals for digital and print executions based on specs provided.
Adapting design directions into layouts based on constructive criticism and clients’ feedback.
Handle stock asset and vector art searching.
Retouching assets within design programs as needed to work with concepts/designs/layouts.
Quality check & prepare all final files for delivery to internal teams and partners.
Understanding of RGB, CYMK and file prepress, bleeds, crop marks differences for digital vs. print media.
Creating print materials and ensuring that proof is aligned with files provided.
Managing multiple projects at one time while meeting tight deadlines.
Work closely with printers, manufacturers, or other vendors to ensure the final
product is produced accurately and efficiently.
Requirements of the Production Artist position Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a designer.
Prior experience in advertising, marketing, creative agency.
Collaborative team player with excellent client service, communication/presentation, and organization skills.
Attention to detail and precision.
Proficiency in production software and tools. Creative Suite and digital programs
Knowledge of HTML5 and video editing (e.g., Adobe After Effects) skills highly desired
Knowledge of Keynote, PowerPoint or other presentation tools.
Knowledge of printing, digital processes and technical specifications.
Ability to follow strict guidelines and make meticulous adjustments.
Attention to detail is a must, especially on fast-turn projects with detailed specifications/templates.
Website design tools are a plus.
Strong work ethic and passion to excel.
