Job Title: Senior Patient Registrar
Location: Flushing, NY, 11355
Shift: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (includes a 60-minute break)
Department: Orthopedics

Job Description:
The Senior Patient Registrar will be responsible for front desk duties and patient registration at a medical office. The candidate must have 3+ years of administrative or clerical experience in a medical office environment. They will manage patient check-in and check-out processes using EPIC, ensuring that all patient information is accurate and up to date. The role requires excellent organizational skills and a professional demeanor in interacting with patients, staff, and physicians.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the check-in and check-out processes using EPIC.
• Ensure patient records are accurate and up to date.
• Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
• Handle appointment scheduling and manage the office’s calendar.
• Assist patients with any inquiries or concerns.
• Process payments and handle billing inquiries.
• Coordinate with other departments and medical staff for patient care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of administrative/clerical experience in a medical office environment.
• Proficiency with EPIC for patient registration.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
