Job Description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a(n) Social Media Coordinator within our Social Media and Communications team to help support our Corporate business. As a(n) Social Media Coordinator you will have the opportunity to contributing to our organization’s diverse social media marketing efforts. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by working collaboratively with our internal business partners to create meaningful content that aligns with our product strategies and company brand. So, what will you be doing as a(n) Social Media Coordinator?

  • Create various forms of social media content—text captions, graphics, short videos, and images—for assigned social media platforms
  • Write and edit content to ensure it is engaging, accurate, and maximizes SEO
  • Collaborate with our global business partners to generate ideas and obtain content approvals
  • Work directly with the Social Media Strategist to ensure all social media content is aligned with the social media strategies for each business partner and support ongoing community management efforts
  • Assist with platform exploration and testing as needed
  • Develop social media content calendars for assigned channels
  • Attend brainstorming sessions for relevant social channels with business partners
  • Follow development and proofing processes established by team
  • Keep updated and assist with upcoming influencer collaborations
  • Communicate regularly with business partners about upcoming content and collect necessary assets such as photos, information for copy, etc.
  • Maintain weekly progress communications with manager, director, or other leaders as requested

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education and/or certificate through industry organization in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Familiarity with social media channels and audiences, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and social media management tools (Canva, Agorapulse, or other related tools)
  • Knowledge of social media trends and hashtags
  • Willingness to learn how to adapt to multiple brand voices to write social media copy
  • Ability to turn ideas and concepts into content
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail with well-honed organizational skills
  • Good understanding of marketing concepts and principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
